About School Bus Tracking & Alert System
The app gives a school one simple app to run its bus fleet and keep every parent in the loop, replacing the phone calls and guesswork of "where is the bus?" with a live, always-on picture. Set up each route as an ordered list of stops with GPS coordinates and an expected time at every stop, then assign a bus and driver to it. Each driver carries a phone app: tap to start the morning or afternoon shift and the bus starts sharing its live position automatically, mark each stop reached as the route runs, and mark every child on the roster boarded, dropped off or absent for the day, then end the shift when the run is done. As the bus gets close, the app fires an automatic alert to that stop's parents when it is roughly two stops away, confirms the moment their child is marked boarded, confirms again the moment they're dropped off, and — if a child is marked absent — alerts both the parent and the school office. Parents get their own portal (created by the school, no public sign-up) showing each of their children's bus moving live on a map with an ETA to their stop, plus a history of every day's alerts. The school's admin dashboard shows the whole fleet moving live on one map, flags any bus running behind schedule against its stops, and reports on attendance, boarding and route punctuality over any stretch of days — everything exportable to CSV. All fully hosted and carrying the school's own name, logo and colours on every screen.
